The railway station and Matkahuolto are located in the city centre and Kokkola-Pietarsaari airport is just about 20 km from Kokkola city centre. For your transfer, you should taka advantage of the airport shuttle service, which can be booked in advance. You can easily walk to various meeting venues in the compact city centre.
Accommodation
Sometimes you need to stay overnight to participate in an event. We always encourage quests to stay longer, as Kokkola offers a wide range of things to see and do. You can always choose to stay in a sustainable place, whether it’s a larger hotel or a smaller, idyllic establishment. We’ll be happy to give you some tips for leisure destinations and activities too. Kokkola offers a large range of culture, events and attractions. the city centre is home to the lovely old town of Neristan and the seafront is only a short walk away.
Conference catering
We recommend that you take benefit of the current season, as this is when the products are at their tastiest. Make use of local ingredients as much as possible and support local food producers in particular. We also offer tasty vegetarian dishes, which have been shown a positive impact on the environment and are also healthy.
Pre-registering for events ensures that there is no unnecessary food waste. The climate impact of food waste is significant.
After the meeting
Please make use of the existing waste sorting facilities at the meeting venue. Always switch off the meeting equipment and lights after your meeting.
