The long-planned renovation and expansion of the Snellman Hall started in the beginning of 2023. The Snellman Music Center, which will be completed in the fall of 2024, guarantees that the conditions for concerts and other events meet today’s requirements.

Facilities in the Campus Hall are rented for different occasions. In addition to the sports hall, there is also a café and lobby facilities as well as classrooms. Together with the grandstand, the Campus Hall has room for 800-1100 seated guests, depending on stage arrangements.

The gym can be divided with a curtain into two parts. The hall has been planned for floorball, futsal, basketball, volleyball, badminton and handball, among other things. Changing rooms are available. The hall is 42 m long and 27.5 m wide.

There are three atmospheric venues in the old barn of Jukkolanmäki, located in the idyllic countryside 30 kilometres from the centre of Kokkola.

The premises can be rented for both large and small groups all year round, including weddings, parties and other events and meetings. Meals can be booked separately.

The summer café and a changing art exhibition showcasing the work of well-known artists are open during the summer months. In previous summers, e.g. Miina Äkkijyrkkä (2019), Kaj Stenvall (2021), Tove Jansson (2022) and Jukka Rintala (2023).

Just ten kilometres away, there is the fishing village of Ohtakari, which is well worth a visit.

Villa Elba, which is located by the beautiful seashore on the popular Sannanranta villa area about four kilometres from the Kokkola city centre, rents out well-equipped meeting rooms of various sizes. All meeting rooms have a fast fibre connection. In the large Elba-hall, there are chairs for up to 190 people, and the space is perfect for weddings for up to 160 persons with set tables, as well as for banquet seminars and meetings.

The Old Villa can accommodate about 30–40 people, and in the summer, there is room for 10–15 more on the terrace. The Old Villa is a popular place for small weddings, family and confirmation parties, baptisms and get-togethers for friends, as well as for meetings. There are beds for 12 people upstairs.

Pre-ordered coffee is served in the meeting rooms. The restaurant serves lunch on weekdays.

Villa Elba has been organising various types of events for over 30 years, including weddings, family and student parties, festive seminars of several days, sauna evenings, bachelor parties, TYHY days, themed birthdays for children and more.

Elba´s Helmi (Pearl) is the newest of the sauna buildings, with a meeting room for about 25 people at one end and an electric sauna and dressing room at the other.

Sauna evenings are a popular programme number throughout the year. The electric sauna is programmed by the staff, but our most popular attraction is the wood-heated sauna at the pier. You can heat the sauna yourself or ask the staff to heat it for you.

The beach cabin is also located by the sea and available for rent. In the yard, there is a fireplace, where you can fry sausages.

The newest building in the area is Kota, which is situated in the forest. It is an authentic Lappish kota hut, where you can pre-order catering services. In the middle of the hut, there is a fireplace that spreads warmth even in the winter. The hut accommodates 20–30 people.

Elba rents out mountain bikes, fat bikes, sup-boards, kicksleds, snowshoes and skis. Ask also for Tentsile accommodation.

The idyllic and unique Tullipakkahuone offers a wonderful milieu for both business and private gatherings as well as for larger events.

The space consists of two large halls and is adaptable for events of different sizes. For smaller events of 50–70 people, the first hall is usually sufficient. When both halls are used, the space can accommodate up to 300 diners.

Book this atmospheric milieu and we will customise an event just for you! Alternatively, you can book only the space and plan the event yourself from start to finish.

The Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius is a multi-disciplinary institution in Kokkola, carrying out teaching and research tasks under the auspices of the universities of Jyväskylä, Oulu and Vaasa.

Our fields of education are educational science, information technology, social sciences, business economics and chemistry. The university premises are located in the campus area about 1.4 kilometres from the train station.

The university has venues in different sizes for both small and large groups. A computer, data projector, document camera and good auxiliary connections are standard amenities in all rooms. The university also offers conference services.

The Ulappa hall can accommodate up to 80 people with tables or 100 people with just chairs.

There is a 171-seat hall (of which 18 are VIP benches and sofas in the back row) and a 38-seat one, both with ascending auditoriums.

Both halls have been renovated recently. Available meeting technology that enables seamless use of presentations with movie projectors, cozy benches (overlapping), the lighting has also been renewed. the larger hall has Kokkola’s largest screen.

Öja´s village centre at Café Bryggan offers premises and services for parties and events.

The restaurant is situated in scenic surroundings and it offers high-quality catering and event services all year round.

With our help, your event, large or small, will be a success. We have great functional facilities, an alcohol serving licence and various menus for parties and events. During the summer season, a cosy meeting space is also available for smaller groups in the boathouse directly by the sea.

By combining the ballroom of the village centre (130 people) and the dining area (80 people), your event can accommodate up to 180 people.

Conference, meeting and sports facilities for hire all year round on a college campus.

Only 20 minutes from Kokkola. The facilities include a 180-person auditorium with great acoustics and a 300 m2 sports hall. Catering and accommodation services for individuals and groups are also available.
