Kokkola is part of the Finnish main railway network and highways E8 (Turku-Oulu-Tromssa), E13 (Jyväskylä, Lappeenranta) and E23 (Kajaani) are all passing through the city. A ferry connection between Uumaja (Sweden) and Vaasa (120 km from Kokkola) operated by WasaLine, offers an opportunity to reach our town from Sweden.
There are lot of parking possibilities in the centre of Kokkola. There are places that allows free parking through display of a parking disc (the disc shows the time at which the vehicle was parked) along the streets, as well as behind the busstation. Free parking can be found around the sports hall and in the vicinity of Kokkola City Hall.
