Neristan and museum tour

The day begins with lunch by the sea at Mustakari, Finland’s fourth oldest yacht club, or in the winter in the beautiful Art Nouveau restaurant, Kokkolinna. After lunch, we take a guided tour of the atmospheric and picturesque Neristan, which is one of Finland’s most extensively preserved historical areas of wooden houses.

After the Neristan tour, we have a visit to the K.H.Renlund Museum, where you can get acquainted with Kokkola’s rich cultural heritage and city history. In the summertime, afternoon coffee is served at Waffle Café and in the winter, depending on the size of the group, at Laivurintalo or at Kruununvoudin Talo. After that we visit either Fredrik and Anna Drake’s home, the Kaarlela Museum of Local History and Culture or the Lohtaja Heritage Museum.
